KPW Equipment

Current Station Equipment

The station is powered by a Davis Vantage Pro2 Model 6152 wireless weather station with Daytime fan aspirated radiation shield optimally located in the backyard of my home. The station consists of an anemometer located approximately 33' above the ground on the roof of my home. The rain gauge and a thermo-hydro transmitter are situated approximately 6' off the ground situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible. It is transmitted to a Davis VP2 wireless base station within the home and then connects via a Serial connection to my station computer. The PC uses Weather Display software to capture all the live weather related data.

Equipment Installation

This is the station as it is currently installed. Also visible in the pictures are my 2 "Skycams" both currently powered by Logitech Webcams and controlled via Imagesalsa Software.
